Ron Paul's "Audit The Fed" bill needs your help

As you may or may not know HR 1207, the "Audit the Fed", bill is now in committee and we need to step our support efforts to get this thing to a vote on the floor.

Ron Paul's bill to Audit the Federal Reserve Bank, HR 1207, has now garnered 55 co-sponsors and has been referred to the House Committee on Financial Services. This is a major development.

The bill will now be debated and voted upon in the Committee and will then either go to the House for a debate and vote or will be defeated. MOST BILLS DIE IN COMMITTEE FOR LACK OF SUPPORT. There is no way to know how long it will stay in Committee. That means it's all up to YOU. It's a major step forward for our movement to get the House to even consider a bill which questions the autonomous authority of the Fed. We MUST make the most of this opportunity!We need to step up and give the situation all our attention NOW. This is our chance to shine!

On Monday, April 27th we will follow up our nationwide End the Fed! rallies with an "Audit the Fed! Melt the Switchboard Day".We must all call in on that day and get EVERYONE we know to also call in to our Congressional Representatives.

Our own dearly beloved fat-cat-criminal-in-politician's-clothing, "Representative" Roy Blunt, gets special mention...

"Yet politicians tell us not to worry. Actually, privacy is very lucrative for congressmen: they reap millions of dollars when they betray it. Rep. Roy Blunt (R-Mo.) and Sen. Tom Harkin (D-Iowa) each received more than a million dollars in contributions from health professionals and the pharmaceutical industry since 2000, and each sponsored industry-favored amendments in the stimulus bill that would undermine patient privacy, the Washington Post reported. Campaign contributions will ultimately determine how centralized health data is used. "

However, Bailout Blunt and his "pay-to-play" style of "Representation" isn't even the worst of the news...

"The ultimate goal of the Obama program is "the utilization of a certified electronic health record for each person in the United States by 2014," as the stimulus legislation states. But having a massive electronic database will make it far easier for the government to coerce both doctors and patients. This is a peril as bad as or worse than the Patriot Act. "

C4L Staffer Detained in St. Louis - Video Goes Viral

Dear Friend of Liberty,

Campaign for Liberty’s very own Steve Bierfeldt has become an unexpected Internet sensation -- and the latest target of over-reaching federal government agents.

You see, Steve was detained by Airport Police and TSA officials shortly after the Campaign for Liberty regional conference in St. Louis.

The officials rudely berated and harassed Steve for 30 minutes in a secluded room at Lambert-St. Louis International Airport. Fortunately, Steve was able to record nearly all of the interrogation with his cell phone.

Steve’s alleged “crime”? Carrying $4,700 in checks and cash from Campaign for Liberty, along with various other materials from our conference.

The local and Federal agents harassed Steve. They were belligerent, cursing and using insulting language. They threatened to turn Steve over to the DEA and the FBI, all the while refusing to inform him of his legal rights or explain how cash and checks threatened airplane or airport security.

Throughout the interrogation, Steve remained polite but resolute and declined to answer the invasive questions without an adequate explanation from these federal and local agents as to why they needed to be answered. Without telling Steve what law he was accused of breaking, they continued their harassment.

Although they grew increasingly frustrated that he remained committed to exercising his rights, intervention from another officer eventually led the police to reluctantly release Steve.

Last Wednesday, Steve appeared on Judge Napolitano’s Freedom Watch to discuss the flagrant violation of his rights and to promote the importance of each of us defending our civil liberties.

Now, Steve’s appearance on Freedom Watch – which features several minutes of the audio tape – has gone viral.

Steve’s ordeal is a reminder to all patriots that liberty is constantly under fire, and we must remain vigilant and prepared to stand up for our rights.

Vote Paul Bingham for Barry County Health Board: April 7

As we enter times of economic unrest and instability can the Barry County Health Department afford to spend our tax dollars on projects which produce uncertain returns?
Can the Health Department continue to accept grants from the Federal Government that come with expensive strings attached?

Can taxpayers continue to sustain the expension of their dollars on experimental programs like World Breast-Feeding Month, which the Health Board observed by hiring Bi-lingual Breast-Feeding Peer Counselors, and the attempted introduction of onerous regulations like last years Temperary Food Service Permit for non-profit organizations, including Churches?

Let’s make sure that in times of economic uncertainty the Barry County Health Board will take a prudent and conservative approach to safeguarding the rights, health and property of the citizens of Barry County?
